| Calling Mrs PA Pitcher |
Hi there,
I am writing from a new BBC2 series called The Family - which is a social history series all about changes to family life in the UK since the Second World War to the present day.
I am trying to track down a former resident of Mapperly Park - a Mrs PA Pitcher - who would now be in her late 70's. We would love to interview her for our first programme - on Marriage.
She featured in a newspaper article (see below) as she took part in a 1955 contest - Mr Therm's Bride of the Year - and reached the finals of the competition, which involved cooking with a gas oven.
We would love to get in touch with her, but have only these details to go on to search for her!
Wondering if you might be able to help?
Many thanks,
Mora McLagan- Assistant Producer, The Family 0208 008 5669

A Bride from Nottingham was one of the eight finalists chosen by the Gas Board for the area finals of the Mr Therm's Bride of the Year competition.
Mrs P. A. Pitcher, 26, of Mapperley Park, would now join the nationwide contest for "Britain's perfect housewife". All contestants had to be newlyweds. The finalists would have to cook and serve breakfast for two, make sweet biscuits and prepare a salad.
